This is my first piece for GNG Research, and one of many more to come!
For starters, I want to say that I could not be more excited to start this exciting new journey with all of you and the GNG Research team. I look forward to the many fruitful discussions we will have on this platform on our way to whatever our financial goals may be!
Second, I want to start this introduction with a personal touch, as this is a great opportunity to tell you why I do this and what kind of work you can expect from me going forward.
I’m not a trader. I’m not interested in trying to predict what the next CPI print may be or what the level of the S&P 500 could be at the end of this year. I also care very little about the hottest stocks that traders discuss on social media. I care about the Big Picture, which means I think in cycles, incentives, and capital flows. I want to know how macro and geopolitical developments impact our portfolios and translate into long-term investment opportunities.
Roughly 15 years ago, I started investing. Well, as I was 15/16 back then, it was mostly gambling and pretending I knew what I was doing. Since then, I have spent a lot of time refining my strategy, working with some of the best in the industry, and building a portfolio that works for me. I will be sharing this portfolio soon, including my best ideas list.
When it comes to putting capital to work, I am using my Big Picture framework to turn a complex puzzle of leading economic growth indicators, inflation, economic policy, geopolitical developments, and secular growth trends (like AI!) into actionable ideas.

However, I don’t just buy random companies but the highest-quality players I can find. I want wide-moat companies with pricing power, durability, skilled management, and a path to elevated shareholder returns on a very long-term basis.
This includes dividends. I don’t just focus on dividends for their income, but mainly because of the story behind them, which is cash flow growth, balance sheet health, and any company decision that could shape how it rewards its investors and is using free cash flow to boost future growth.
As most of you know, or have even experienced, over time, growing income is one of the most reliable ways to build financial independence without relying on perfect timing.
Hence, my goal at GNG Research is very straightforward.
I will offer clear thinking in what has become a super noisy market. I’ll connect Big Picture developments to actionable ideas, cover both risks and opportunities, and have a lot of great discussions with you in the comment section and in the subscriber chat.
Now, let’s get to work!
