GNG Research was built on a simple idea. Individual investors deserve the same quality of research and data that institutions get. For most of our history that idea has meant one thing, our own analysts publishing on our own platform. Starting now it means something broader.

We are introducing Investing Clubs, a way for independent research teams to publish their work, build model portfolios, and run a community on GNG, with GNG's data, tools, and AI underneath every piece they write. The first club to join is Main Street Alpha, and I could not have asked for a better one to open with.

This article covers what an Investing Club is, who Main Street Alpha is, how the two fit together.

TL/DR. Investing Clubs are independent research teams with their own name, brand, members, and home on GNG. Main Street Alpha is the first, the team includes Leo Nelissen, Albert Marko and Tony Nash, covering macro, geopolitics, policy, and the structural forces that move markets. The club supplies additional research, ideas, and community.

    Investing clubs

We're excited to welcome Main Street Alpha to the GNG Platform, the first of a few investing clubs that we are going to onboard over the next couple of years.

    What an Investing Club Is

An Investing Club is a research team with its own name, its own brand, its own members, and its own portal on GNG. The club publishes its research on GNG, can publish model portfolios inside its portal, and runs its community alongside ours.

The club is another research/intelligence layer, the research, the ideas, and the community. GNG is the technology/research layer, the data, the analytics, the portfolio tools, the screener, and GNG AI. Neither replaces the other.

Every club will have one address on GNG with a landing page, an Articles tab, and a Models tab. Main Street Alpha's portal is at gngresearch.com/investing-groups/main-street-alpha.

As a GNG Pro member, you will have access to this research - please note in the future as more clubs are launched, we plan to limit the amount of article reads but for the time being access is enabled. I just wanted it to be clear that this is bound to change to some degree as the value proposition increases. Investing clubs offer their own subscription that costs about $29.99 a month. But this can be individually altered per club.

We will only have one investing glove per niche investing topic. We will find the cream of the crop and whoever has the best team and research with the best actionable ideas. There won't be a competition in any way, just supporting research broadening what we're able to deliver

    Meet Main Street Alpha

Main Street Alpha delivers Wall Street-level research for serious, self-directed investors, connecting macroeconomics, geopolitics, and long-term wealth creation. Members receive three to six in-depth pieces each week plus live sessions with the authors, backed by a wider network of analysts, participants, and contacts the team draws on to read shifts earlier than the headlines allow..

By the time a theme reaches the headlines, the move has usually already pets. Macro reports hand you a worldview with no idea attached, and stock commentary hands you tickers with no sense of the world those companies have to survive in. Main Street Alpha exists to close the gap between the two, reading policy decisions, geopolitical shifts, energy constraints, fiscal dynamics, and global power competition, then translating them into something a portfolio can use.

Leo (who is a part of MSA) has published more than 40 pieces on the platform since January 2026, and those now sit in the club's Articles tab. He is now accompanied by the entire Main Street Alpha team, who will also now be publishing research and content to the platform.

    The People Behind the Research

Macro, geopolitics, and forecasting. Most services have one of these. Main Street Alpha built around all three, and the three people behind it each own one.
