Viasat's CFO, Garrett L. Chase, sold a total of 4,000 shares of common stock on August 20, 2026, through open-market transactions at weighted average prices of $74.4451 and $75.3451. These sales were conducted under a Rule 10b5-1 Plan adopted on February 25, 2026. After these transactions, Chase retains an indirect holding of 898 shares via a 401(k) plan.

VIASAT INC (VSAT) has received a $75 million payment from the Department of the Air Force for the "PTS-G SWARM 1" project, which involves designing, developing, testing, and producing global variants of protected tactical SATCOM space vehicles and associated ground systems. This payment contributes to the over $345 million in government contract awards VSAT has received in the last year. Viasat has chosen Rocket Lab to construct a GEO satellite for the U.S. Space Force's Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) program. The initiative is a key part of the USSF's strategy to provide resilient and scalable satellite communications to warfighters, utilizing commercial designs for smaller, faster-to-produce satellites with enhanced anti-jam capabilities.
