Bitcoin sentiment is shifting as US spot BTC ETFs recorded their best inflow week since mid-April, pulling in $853.5 million. BlackRock's Head of Digital Assets, Robert Mitchnick, noted Bitcoin's decoupling from stocks and consistent buyer base despite volatility. This positive trend is further supported by significant inflows into BlackRock's IBIT fund and speculation that a recent cold storage hack prompted a move to ETF custody for security.

US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $853.5 million in net inflows over five consecutive trading sessions from August 3 to August 7, reversing previous withdrawals. BlackRock's IBIT was the primary driver, accounting for 81% of these inflows. This strong demand helped Bitcoin break above $65,000, signaling a bullish outlook for the crypto market.

US-listed Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced their strongest weekly inflows since April, totaling over $850 million. This surge occurred despite a recent hack involving a Coldcard Wallet, highlighting renewed investor interest in Bitcoin exposure through ETFs without directly managing the digital assets. The inflows suggest that while security concerns persist, investors are finding regulated avenues to participate in the crypto market.

Bitcoin's price surpassed $65,000, reaching a new August high of $65,340, driven by its fifth consecutive day of net inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, totaling $98.85 million. This resurgence is attributed to easing geopolitical tensions and unexpectedly weak U.S. non-farm payroll data, which lowered expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike. BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC led these inflows, signaling strong institutional confidence in cryptocurrencies.
